Location
Verbier is an alpine village and holiday resort located in the South Western corner of Switzerland, close to the border of France and Italy. It is world-famous ski resort and is frequented by both the world’s greatest skiers as well as the celebrity elite. La Vallée Blanche is conveniently situated just off the slopes, a few minutes stroll down from Medran ski lift and is centrally located near Verbier’s shops, bars and restaurants.
Verbier
Verbier is built in typical Swiss chalet style and from its sunny plateau at 1500 metres, it offers breath-taking views of the Combin Massif, the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc. In winter, the region becomes one of the biggest skiing areas in Switzerland. “Les 4 Vallée” ski resort offers 410 km of slopes for every ski level. The resort is served by over 90 lifts and railways, linking the stations of Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon and La Tzoumaz. A cableway opens up the top of Mont Fort at a height of 3300 metres. Verbier is also a wonderful summer destination too, offering stunning walks, hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, adventure activities and golf in an exceptional setting, all year round.

The closest major international airport to Verbier is Geneva, lying 161km to the West. From here you can get to Verbier by car in 1hr 40 mins or by train in 2hrs 20 mins. You can also get to Verbier from Chambery, Zurich, Lausanne, Bern, Turin and even Milan airports, with varying lengths of train/road journeys onward to the resort. The closest airport is actually Sion airport, less than an hour away, although there are limited airlines chartering flights here.
